New Officers Elected
TAMPA
-- At the April 18 meeting, the Florida Bibliophile Society membership elected by unanimous acclamation new officers for the
2010-11 club year.
Irene Pavese will take the gavel and serve as president, moving up from the vice president post. Switching seats with Irene,
out-going president Michael Bryan will now hold the office of vice president.
Secretary Treasurer
Jack Walsh will serve another term, keeping track of the society's finances.
Sharing the
recording secretary spot, Joan Sackheim will take minutes when the bibliophiles meet in Pinellas County, while new member
Shannon Schane will take over the duties when the meetings are held in Hillsborough County. This seat has been vacant
for a number of years and monthly volunteers have been submitting the minutes to The Newsletter editor Sue Tihansky.
Carl Mario Nudi will take
over the duties from long-time member Lee Harrer as representative to the Fellowship of American Bibliophilic Societies.
Meeting hostess and host, Geraldine Hynes and Arthur Walker, will continue to provide the membership
with coffee and sweet refreshments before the meetings.
The officers will be installed at the annual society luncheon May 22 at the Venoy Renaissance
Resort in downtown St. Petersburg.
